You can enjoy a ship ride on the way to Shiomi House with any route you choose as the House is located on the remote Sashima island next to the Shimanami-road in the Setouchi inland sea.
How to get Sashima island

a) Onomichi station – ( Local bus bound to Innoshima Habu port approx 40 min.) – Innoshima island Habu port – (Geiyo kisen, ship bound to Imabari approx 20 min.) – Sashima port
b) Fukuyama station – (Express bus Citrus Liner approx 1 hour) – Innoshima island Habu port – (Geiyo kisen , ship bound to Imabari approx 20 min.) – Sashima port
If you take Ikina ferry, walk south for 7 minites to Nagasaki sanbashi(pier), Habu port.
c) Mihara port (5 min. walk from Mihara station) – (Habu shosen, Ship bound to Habu approx 40 min.) – Innoshima island Habu port – (Geiyo kisen, ship bound to Imabari approx 20 min.) – Sashima port
d) Imabari port – (Geiyo kisen, ship bound to Habu approx 1 hour) – Sashima port
2 minutes walk to Shiomi House from Sashima port.
